About us

Rose Hill is on the prairie.

Just take a look around us and you'll see—fields of corn, green pastures, rolling hills and lots of wildlife. Though we may be a short drive from town, Rose Hill Evangelical Free is as alive as the plants and animals around us.  In fact, Rose Hill's unique location allows it to be the place of worship for people from several different towns in every direction.

So what will you find at Rose Hill? Here you will find a community of people who love and care for each other. You will find town folk and country dwellers. You will find people with all kinds of denominational backgrounds. But most of all you will find people who love Jesus and want to worship Him and make His name known throughout the world.

For more than 100 years, Rose Hill has been dedicated to bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to our area, a tradition we continue today.

Our Vision

Our vision is to see every acre of Marshall and Day counties and beyond PLANTED, WATERED, and CULTIVATED to the glory of God.

  • Our MIssion - WATER

The WATER happens when we LOVE GOD. Jesus described a relationship with Him as drinking living water (John 4:10-14). A relationship with Jesus is the thing every human longs for, and the only thing that can truly satisfy our craving. We want Rose Hill Church to be a place, first and foremost, where people come to meet the Living God through a relationship with His Son Jesus.

  • OUR MISSION - CULTIVATE

The CULTIVATE happens when we LOVE OTHERS. The whole body of Christ is called to care for and invest in one another, so we may all grow up together into the image of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-16). We believe God uses continuing relationships with other believers to stretch and grow his people.

  • OUR MISSION - PLANT

The PLANT happens when we MAKE DISCIPLES. Jesus used the imagery of a farmer sowing seed to illustrate a follower of Jesus spreading the Gospel message (Mark 4:13-20). Like the farmer in the story, we are called to plant the good news of Jesus wherever we go, so others might hear it and accept it, becoming fully-committed followers of Him.
