True North Men's Retreat 2018

On March 24-25 we are hosting our fourth annual True North winter men's retreat at Hidden Hill Lodge. This event is intended to give men a unique chance to build community with other men and to grow spiritually. The retreat has grown each year of its existence, and we're looking forward to packing the lodge out again in 2018. You will find more information, as well as a registration form, below.

Schedule

The retreat will begin on Saturday morning, March 24, and finish up just over 24 hours later. Check-in will begin at 8:30 am Saturday; the retreat will officially begin at 9 am with a group game and then back-to-back sessions led by our speaker. Each session will be followed by a discussion time in small breakout groups. After lunch there will be a few hours of unrestricted time where guys can choose to go fishing (weather permitting), play games, or hang back and converse with the others. After a third session in the early evening, the day's events will conclude with a supper so big it's been dubbed "the man feast".

The fourth and final session will take place after breakfast on Sunday morning. We will finish up with a breakout session, and then pack up. Most guys are out the door by 10:30 am.

Speaker

We are excited to welcome Kent Hannestad as our guest speaker this year. Kent is a leader and teacher from Fargo, ND who describes himself as "an ambassador for the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 5:20), happily married to Kari (for 24 years), with three awesome children (Duncan, 22 years old and married to Naomi; Megan, 20 years old and getting married to Quincy in April; and Carson, 12 years old and not married or engaged)."

Location

Our men's retreat is held at the beautiful Hidden Hill Lodge, a premier hunting and fishing lodge located 4 miles south of our church building, between Eden and Langford, SD. The $99 includes a one-night stay at the lodge, equipment for whichever afternoon activity the weather allows, and meals (including our much-talked-about "Man Feast" Saturday evening). You can find more information about the Lodge, as well as directions to it, at www.hiddenhilllodge.com.
